After a long day and night of travelling we finally arrived
in Manchester Monday Morning. The boys were all in great spirits as our tour
guide Gordon arrived with the bus to take us back to our hotel for the week. We
are staying in the Manchester University area and the players were able to
experience the English culture by taking a walk into the local shops to grab a
bite for lunch.
After lunch we had a small team meeting with Gordon
regarding expectations for the week and then we walked to our training location
for the week at Manchester University. The facility is fantastic with top of
the range turf and we are very happy to be provided with this for the week.
Training was very important today as we went through our final game preparation
for the week.
After training we decided to take the players out and we
jumped on a bus to a local bowling alley where they were kept occupied until
lunch. On the way back to the hotel the boys were very excited to ride a double
decker bus. At the hotel we were served a healthy dinner of chicken, salmon, vegetables,
and potatoes before the boys headed to their rooms for a well-deserved sleep.
